Strength & movement coaching

Training that fits the week you actually have.

Ribbon House is a one-room studio for people who want to get stronger without guessing. Every block is coached in person, written down, and adjusted as your week changes.

First session is a conversation and a movement screen — no programme is written before that.

Sessions run in a private studio with barbells, dumbbells and open floor space.

Programmes

Four ways to train at Ribbon House

Each programme runs as a block of sessions with a plan for the days in between. Blocks can be paused, and you can move between them as your goals shift.

Foundations

New to lifting

Twelve sessions spent building the six movements everything else is made of, at a pace that lets technique settle.

  • Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, brace
  • Two coached sessions a week
  • Short home plan for rest days

From £58 / session

Strength Block

Lifting already

An eight-week progression written around the lifts you care about, with loads reviewed every fortnight.

  • Barbell-led programming
  • Accessory work chosen with you
  • Log kept between sessions

From £62 / session

Back to Movement

Returning after a break

A gentler on-ramp for anyone coming back from time off, with load added only once range and confidence are there.

  • Mobility and control first
  • Slower session tempo
  • Works alongside your clinician

From £58 / session

Pair Training

Two people, one plan

Train with a partner or friend on matched plans, sharing the hour and splitting the cost of the session.

  • Two people, one coached hour
  • Separate loads, same structure
  • Good for keeping a habit

From £38 / person

The method

What happens after you get in touch

Nothing is sold before it is understood. The first four steps are the same for everyone, whatever they end up training for.

  1. Consultation

Twenty minutes on what you want to be able to do, what your week looks like and anything that currently hurts.

  2. Movement screen

A simple session of squatting, hinging and pressing so we both see where you're starting from before anything is written.

  3. Coached blocks

You train in blocks of sessions with a written plan for the days between. Every session is coached, not counted.

  4. Review

At the end of a block we look at the log together, keep what worked and change what didn't before the next one starts.

The coach

Wren Adeyemi

I started Ribbon House because most people don't need a new sport — they need someone to watch the first ten reps and tell them the truth. I coach one person at a time, in a room quiet enough to hear a cue.

A programme you can repeat next month beats a perfect one you abandon next week.
  • Strength and conditioning coaching for general fitness clients
  • Comfortable working alongside physiotherapists and GPs
  • Sessions available early mornings, evenings and Saturdays

Questions

Before your first session

Do I need any experience to start?

No. Foundations exists for people who have never picked up a barbell, and the first block assumes nothing. If you've trained before, we start from what you can already do rather than resetting you.

What should I bring?

Clothes you can move in, flat shoes and a water bottle. Everything else — bars, plates, dumbbells, mats, bands — is in the studio.

How long is a session?

An hour, including the warm-up and a few minutes at the end to write down what you lifted. Pair sessions run the same hour.

I have an old injury — can I still train?

Usually, yes, and it's worth mentioning it in your enquiry. If you're under the care of a clinician I'll work to their guidance and keep loads inside whatever range they've set.

What if I need to move a session?

Let me know at least a day ahead and we'll find another slot in the same week where one exists. Blocks can also be paused if you're away.
